(SOME SPOILERS!!!) Molly Bloom is an aspiring Olympic gold medalist who, after a freak accident, chooses to take a break from training prior to going to law school. She takes two jobs, one of which leads to an opportunity she hadn't considered or prepared for. Molly's new boss runs a poker game, but not just ANY poker game. It's a game for the rich and famous, and it's her job to set it up, run it, and, of course, count the buy-ins. One thing leads to another and Molly's boss turns out to be quite crooked. After being put in a bind, Molly decides to take the poker game into her own hands. She ups the ante (both literally and figuratively) and things are going well until Player X makes a dire mistake that Molly simply can't allow at her table. One phone call is all it takes for Molly to be out of the game, and after two years, she's arrested for her connection to the Russian mob. This movie will break your heart, make you laugh, and make you cry. Molly's character is witty, charming, and sarcastic - all my favorite qualities. The characters are well-developed, but I found the movie was a little slow in some spots. Four stars, and I will likely watch it again!
